Fire District 13 Inc. protects approximately 7,700 residents and 25 square miles in Northeast Guilford County of North Carolina.
Our staff consists of forty-two dedicated volunteers, twenty-four full time career and a part-time administrative assistant. The department consists three stations (two operational and one administrative), seven pieces of firefighting equipment and five staff vehicles.
Fire District 13 responds to approximately 1550 calls a year. We provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to Northeast Guilford County and we provide first due and automatic aid response to the northeast area of the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. Station 13 is located on Lees Chapel Road and houses headquarters and training facilities. Station 55 is located on Hicone Rd and houses Engine 55 and Engine 258, and Station 58 is located on Spencer Dixon Rd and houses Engine 58, Tanker 58, and Rescue 58 Fire District #13, Inc. provides its citizens with an ISO Class 2 insurance rating, which allows our district to experience low fire insurance premiums.
It is the mission of Fire District #13, Inc. to provide fire protection, basic life support, hazardous materials incident response to the Operational Level, and Public Fire Education to Citizens, commercial and industrial occupancies of this tax district.
